This core philosophy was perfectly demonstrated during a <strong>two-year placement journey with our <\/strong>global SportsTech client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The client faced the complex challenge of building a specialized team from zero within the Japanese market. From our first conversation, it was clear he was a rare profile: technically strong, thoughtful, and an excellent cultural fit for their innovative environment. The client team was genuinely impressed after multiple interview rounds and wanted to extend an offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, timing and circumstances were not aligned. At the time, the client in Japan required employees to be on-site five days a week, and our candidate lived far from the office. After careful consideration, both sides agreed not to proceed. Rather than pushing a candidate into a role that lacked the right conditions, we respected the decision and stepped back, ensuring both the company, and the candidate felt valued and joined another company to continue his growth. But we stayed in touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>September 2025: Reconnection and Evolution&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fast forward two years. During a strategic meeting with our client regarding their ongoing hiring challenges, one comment stood out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ve met many candidates\u2026 but honestly, we still haven\u2019t found anyone as good as [our candidate].\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the previous two years, the company had evolved. Their needs had clarified, and most importantly, they had introduced greater flexibility around remote work. Knowing that the initial blockers were now removed, we reached out to our candidate once again. With complete transparency about why things had changed, we arranged a new round of discussions directly with the client&#8217;s executive team in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Result: November 2025&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the geographical and flexibility blockers removed, an offer was seamlessly extended and accepted. In November 2025, our candidate officially joined the client team in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, SPOTTED was able to successfully support the client in building their team from scratch and filling their critical, niche positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why This Placement Matters&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This success story highlights that the best placements aren\u2019t about pushing a candidate into a role quickly.
